This is to show the Sony A7RII ISO at 102400Comparison at 12800 1/6secComparison 102400 1/6 sec I could barely make this out with my eyes and have the bruises to prove it.Just to explain, i could not make out this tree at all with my eyes. The sky was almost completely black. So the clouds poping up and the light in the sky was a surprise! This is to show the Sony A7RII at ISO 12800This is to show the Sony A7RII ISO at 6400This is to show the Sony A7RII ISO at 102400 and Under exposed
Cool, thanks a lot for the test, and thanks for also taking underexposed shots. Seems like ISO 6400 is the threshold up to which I’d use the camera, and in certain circumstances, ISO 12800 or 25600 may be usable.
Glad to have helped. I am thinking i could easily use 6400 and 25600. I took a few shots last night and after using noise removal. I had some perfectly usable images at 25600.
These are the best low light high ISO shots I’ve seen yet, but… with relatively fast shutter speeds. What about long exposure – how does 12800, 25600 look at say 20+ seconds?
Thanks, these are very helpful! Noise is present but it’s fairly “good quality” – no artefacts of color smearing at iso 6400.
Awesome test, thanks
